:: good news for top graduates! ::

Salam to all my readers

A couple of days ago, when I was spending my time at the library studying for final exams, I came across this advertisement and it was a cut out from a News Strait Times.

~ click to read it ~

Perhaps you need to click on the picture and enlarge it so that you can read what it is written on the paper. I'm just gonna rule out the main points. I was kinda inspired by that actually, knowing that top graduates from UiTM will be getting full-scholarship to further their study to several top Unis in the world like Harvard, Yale and Imperial College in London, just to name a few.

Although obviously I'm not eligible for this but it makes me feel proud of my Uni and it's like I can feel the overwhelming feeling when you get the chance to study abroad. Haha. What a dreamer! Yeah, I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. Lots of people out there are probably dreaming of the same thing.

My parents would be the happiest people on earth if I ever get this. Ok, continue dreaming. Haha. Lastly, thanks Prof. Datuk Dr. Sahol Hamid Abu Bakar for working your ass off on this. This is a good news for the students who wish to go abroad.

:: i'm so excited! ::

Salam to all my readers

I never skype with somebody who live outside Malaysia. I always wanted to have friends who are living in States or UK or any part of the world. It's great to have multiracial friends, imagine if you are going to visit UK and then you already have somebody you know there, it would be easier for you to travel and you can exchange thoughts on everything.

A couple of days ago, I skype with my friend who is living in California, and his name is German Melendrez. I was so excited because like I said, it was my first time skyping with people outside Malaysia but after realizing that he is living in Cali, means that he is good in English, I became nervous suddenly. I thought I'm gonna look stupid coz my english is ain't that good. LOL. But everything turned out to be great except for the sound problem. I barely can hear him. Maybe because of the long distance, you know, I'm in Malaysia and he's in Cali.

I asked him whether it's okay to put up his pic here and he got no problem with that so, here's a snippet of our conversation.

To people out there, who feel like adding me in your skype friend list, this is my skype email (wmiwm89@yahoo.com) or you can simply search for Judiene Marno. Who know, it would be a good start for a friendship to grow. I would love to skype with you guys. Haha. Add me up! :)

:: let's fall in love ::

Salam to all my readers

I never felt in love so deep with any human being before. Love seem not interested to stop by my heart and knock-knock, to see whether it is already occupied or not. I watched my friends fall in love, crying over someone they love and the most feared thing, break ups.

I'm no Dr.Love but I think everybody have the right to speak and talk about love, as long as they don't cross the line. Whether its poured from their experiences or just by watching others, it doesn't matter.

As far as I could remember, I never felt like I see someone and quickly the feeling of want to get to know them arise. Never. I don't know whether it's normal or not but that's the fact. There's a person who immediately fall for someone just by looking at their faces and there is also those who are completely not attracted by all the physical qualities but more to get to know the person first, face to face. I don't know which group I belong to but sometimes I do judge people by how they look like.

I once asked my friend what it's like to travel more than 50km every week just to see his girlfriend. Don't they get bored or tired? Don't they afraid that they gonna lost the sweetness of being in a relationship once they are married? All my questions here don't have the A and B answer. Its a subjective matter and every person have different views on things. I think the solution to these never-ending problems is to actually search for the right person and have a relationship with every women that you think might have potential to be your steady soul mate. LOL.

I'm ranting and raving actually. No specific reason why I wrote this crap. Huhu.

:: X-Factor - Live Show 1 & 2 ::

Salam to all my readers

I haven't got the chance before this to keep my blog updated with X-Factor UK 2010 that is already in its third result show but I got it now so I'm gonna review the last two episodes that i missed but I keep it short.

The first episode of X-Factor witnessed a shock double elimination, which to me, kinda not fair. If they want to reduce the amount of contestant drastically by sending two contestants home at a night, why would they take 3 more contestants from the wildcard? Those who were on bottom three are F.Y.D, Katie Waissel and Nicolo Festa and Nicolo is the first act to go home, followed by F.Y.D. Nicolo got the least votes and he was sent home immediately while F.Y.D got a chance to sing for survival but the judges didn't seem to have interest in them thus the elimination.

~ Nicolo Festa ~

~ F.Y.D. ~

On the live show of week one, I was rooted on Nicolo, One Direction, Belle Amie, Mary Byrne, Rebecca Ferguson, Matt Cardle and Aiden Grimshaw but sadly Nicolo has to go home, which is sad coz to me, he is a great singer although he is slightly weird and posses the diva-ish quality. No luck for him.

And as for Live Show 2, which is in week 2, I was kinda blown away by performances of Matt Cardle, One Direction, Mary Byrne and Belle Amie. Rebecca Ferguson, to me, is quite boring this week, maybe because of the song choice. But the judges love her. I love One Direction performance because as what Cheryl said, they look like they were meant to be together as a group and they show that Simon's decision to take them as a group is a genius decision ever made. I'm sure they are gonna stay longer in the competition as they got the look which obviously will attract more girls and women to vote for them.

The Result Show 2 saw Storm and Diva Fever (it's a male group, not a female group) be the second act to go home. Yes, it is a double elimination again. Now Simon only got 2 acts left under his supervision. The only group that I think can make Simon the judges winner for this season is One Direction. Not that Belle Amie is not great but the judges seem to love One Direction more.

Oh, you guys have to check out the performance of 14 acts singing Telephone, originally from Lady Gaga and Beyonce. They look funny singing the song but at the same time entertaining. Can't believe someone like Wagner, who is born with Brazilian accent and festive spirit got to sing the song. Haha.

And below are the remaining contestants.

:: Half of My Heart ::

Salam to all my readers

I'm suppose to study CTU subject for my final exam this Tuesday but here I am, typing the keyboard and updating my blog. Well, you can blame me. Go out and ask all students who take CTU553 subject. Sure they will tell you how boring it is to finish the whole topics. It's like reading a BTN book or something about nationality and history.

OK, lets not talk about the boring stuff, would we?? At this moment, I'm sooooo addicted to this song, from John Mayer called Half of My Heart. The melody is so peaceful to hear, it's like you're standing at the beach, alone, while looking at the serene. Love the feeling. Take your time listening to this song and I bet you all would like it. Owh, it's a country song by the way.

I was born in the arms of imaginary friends
Free to roam, made a home out of everywhere I've been
Then you come crashing in, like the realest thing
Trying my best to understand all that your love can bring

Oh half of my heart's got a grip on the situation
Half of my heart takes time
Half of my heart's got a right mind to tell you
That I can't keep loving you
Oh, with half of my heart

I was made to believe i'd never love somebody else
I made a plan, stay the man who can only love himself
Lonely was the song I sang, 'til the day you came
Showing me a better way and all that my love can bring

Oh half of my heart's got a grip on the situation
Half of my heart takes time
Half of my heart's got a right mind to tell you
That I can't keep loving you
Oh, with half of my heart
With half of my heart

Your faith is strong
But I can only fall short for so long
Time will hold, later on
You will hate that I never gave more to you than half of my heart
But I can't stop loving you
But I can't stop loving you
But I can't stop loving you with half of my...

Half of my heart
Half of my heart

Half of my heart's got a real good imagination
Half of my heart's got you
Half of my heart's got a right mind to tell you
That half of my heart won't do

Half of my heart is a shotgun wedding to a bride with a paper ring
And half of my heart is the part of a man who's never really loved anything

Half of my heart
Half of my heart
Half of my heart
Half of my heart
Half of my heart
Half of my heart

p/s ~ If you notice, Taylor Swift contributed her voice in this song, but she just sang two lines. huhu. I wish she involves more.

:: let's cycling! ::

Salam to all my readers

Yesterday evening, me and my friends got a chance to let out lust of cycling get hold of ourselves. Yeah, you heard it right. UiTM Puncak Alam has the facility where we can rent a bike for student who want to go sightseeing around UiTM Puncak Alam. This is the first time actually we rent a bike here coz we never had time to go cycling in the evening since we were all busy with assignments and stuffs. OK, i lied!

Booking the bike pretty late so we ended up getting under-maintenance bike. The keeper told us that the only reason why we were allowed to use the under-maintenance bike is because we are guys, and guys supposed to know how to fix a bike, which is so clear that they want us to fix the broken parts of the bike we were using. Well, nahh, the bike doesn't look bad at all. Beside the minor damage, everything looks fine.

The bike took us to the water tank at the top of the hill. The scenery was breathtaking and its strong wind kinda make me feel like I wasn't in UiTM Puncak Alam, like I was in somewhere else. haha. What a dreamer! Ohh ya, I would like to suggest that MELTECH should be doing this kind of activity, anything that involve cycling. Maybe I should change something. I wanna make people cycling instead of running in the cross country event next semester. Is it relevant? LOL

:: Fantasia - Back To Me ::

Salam to all my readers

It's quite late to post about this album but I found it wasted to not telling you people out there about this so-called the best R&B album of the year.

Entitled Back To Me, a brand new album from the third winner of American Idol, Fantasia is filled with R&B, soulful and gospel-rooted like songs. I didn't like few of the songs at first but after taking time listen to this album over and over again, they are not bad actually. Let's take a look at the tracks.

  1. I'm Doin' Me
  2. Bittersweet
  3. Man of The House
  4. Who's Been Lovin' You
  5. Collard Greens and Cornbread
  6. Teach Me
  7. Move On Me
  8. Trust Me
  9. The Thrill Is Gone
  10. Falling In Love Tonight
  11. Even Angels
  12. I'm Here

I like Fantasia since American Idol and to me she has this unique vocals that make this album acceptable, no matter what people say about it. Some magazines quoted 'Back To Me' is an example of a great singer ruined by poor song choices. Yeah, I admit that most of her songs are 'heavy' and not aimed for teenagers who like Justin Bieber or Miley Cyrus kinda songs but it suits my taste and I really like it.

So far, my favorites are all except I'm Here and The Thrill Is Gone. All the songs are nice. I enjoy listen to all of it but the two that I just mentioned just now to me, not really show her ability to embed her vocals with raw emotion. I'm proud to be her fan coz she has truly blossomed into quite the diva. 'Back To Me' has Fantasia back at her best, despite all the controversy shrouding her life.

p/s ~ try listen to 'Man of The House', 'Even Angels', 'I'm Doin' Me' and 'Falling In Love Tonight'.

:: blog expertise on demand ::

Salam to all my readers

I just screwed a test just now, which appear as the last and only chance for me to get great result for Clinical Chemistry II. OK, maybe it's my fault that I take it for granted and enter the hall not well prepared but damn, the questions were so confused, i can't even differentiate which question belong to which topic. Lame isn't it??

I'm actually thinking of changing my blog template and header, since I've been using this like God-knows-how-long, but the problem is, my knowledge about making my own template and header is zero. This kind of thing is not something that we can learn overnight, or simply from the website or book. I believe, practical approach is more suitable method to learn from.

Already asked some of my friends and hopefully by the end of this year, my blog will have a major make over. And yeah, one more thing. If you guys have cool website for blog templates, do share with me. And the blog header too. The only photo editor I'm using now is Photoscape, and people always make a great and cool header out of Photoshop, not Photoscape so, I'm asking you guys a favor here, do leave tips or anything informatics regarding the matter. I appreciate all your hard work.

Last but not least, my final exam is around the corner but the feeling to sit for exam and pass with flying colors seem to be missing and I don't know where to find it. Shesshh, I don't know what I'm writing about. Pffttt!

:: The Other Side of Down ::

Salam to all my readers

I feel soooo excited and satisfied today. Why? Because after one long year of waiting, finally I manage to get my hand on David Archuleta's brand new album, The Other Side of Down. I was hesitated to buy at first, thinking of the expensive price but thanks to Miss Rosie for the advices, I have made my decision to buy it. Hahaha. There's no turning back after I walked out of the music store.

I have already listened to the songs in the album and just like his previous album, all songs are acceptable and current, which suit his bubbly personality and his kinda matured voice. I like the fact that he changed his hairstyle, which make him looks more grown up. And I love what he wears in his cover photoshoot, its like vintage meets teeny-bopper kinda thing. Ok, enough with his appearance, let's take a look at the tracks in his album.

  • The Other Side of Down
  • Something 'Bout Love
  • Elevator
  • Stomping The Roses
  • Who I Am
  • Falling Stars
  • Parachutes and Airplanes
  • Look Around
  • Good Place
  • Complain
  • Things Are Gonna Get Better
  • My Kind of Perfect
As you already know, his first single from this album is Something 'Bout Love. The second single will be Elevator. Be patient and keep your ear fix to the radio to make sure you don't miss it when the second single played. If you are not patient enough, just simply go to any music stores near you and purchase it, just like I did!

Trust me, it will be worth your money. To all David's fans out there, you don't need my word, aren't you? OK, now I can strike this out of my list. Next thing is, I hope that there's gonna be a concert or tour and he will come to Malaysia again! This time, i try not to miss it.

:: every man is different ::

Salam to all my readers

I am happy today coz my family is here in KL with me. Got a chance to meet them before final exam starts. I actually have no idea that KTM Komuter has broadened their railway up to Batu Caves. It is quite a journey for me, from Shah Alam to Batu Caves. Thank god there is someone..ermm..sitting in front of me. Ok, I shall not elaborate on that. :P

You know when I first arrived at Batu Caves station, i noticed something different. It was so quiet, as if every sound have been sucked out from the place. There are just few people waiting for the train and few people got out from it. I was like, Ok, what is this place, you know what I mean. Hahaha.

And one more thing I noticed. There are no other people there but Indians. Yeah, Indians. Those who are responsible for committing, ermm, ok I shouldn't say much about that. From the moment I stepped out of the station, no taxi, no bus, no everything. I was about to call my dad when one taxi came. And the driver and another passenger in it are Indians. Again, I was like, am I in India right now?? LOL.

Then they chatted gloriously in Tamil language, which I don't understand a thing. I was trying to create my own dialog, based on what I think they were talking.

The driver : What do you think we should do with this boy?

The Indian passenger : Should we do like what our friends did? I like burning things

The driver : Naahh, too risky. People will know straightaway.

The Indian passenger : So, any other plan??

The driver : Ermm, nope. ahh, just send him la. Plus he's not worth to k**l. He don't even have money.

~ motiff?? ~

I was praying to God, please keep me safe, I don't wanna get killed here in the taxi. Huhu. But it was all my bad instinct that leaded me to think bad about them. Instead from doing what i was thinking they would do, the driver was kind enough to show me the shortcut to my cousin's house. He even asked me to walk safely and take a good care of myself. I don't know what he means by 'take a good care' but yeah, that completely changed my perception towards them.

Moral of the story is, if a person is bad, it is not likely that the others are the same. Every people have different thoughts on things that going on. I was quite ashamed of myself for thinking something bad like that. They are Indians but hey, we are 1Malaysia. Maybe those who responsible for Datuk Sosilawati's death are some kind of crazy, blood-hunger murderer but I'm sure, other Indians are against what they did.

Huhu. Peace to the world! :)

:: party planner with... ::

Salam to all my readers

Life as a treasurer for a well-known association is very demanding. Sometime they need you to attend a meeting on the spot. And there was a time when you didn't receive any notes about a meeting and here you are, laying around on your bed, with your blanket cover all your body up and all of a sudden you received a text message saying, "Need you now in student centre. Meeting." This is where when I say, arghh damn the meeting!

OK, i'm not that busy actually. It just one of my imagination of how busy my life can be. huhu.

I have just been appointed as a new treasurer so not much time spending on the meeting yet. But we do have a meeting recently, yesterday to be exact. We have discussed about the programs we want to do next semester as well as dividing the members committee into their bureau. From the list of programs that we had ruled out, I'm quite eager to do the annual grand dinner. Why? Coz I will be the director of the event! Yeah, read my lips guys!

I don't have much experiences and knowledge on how to organize a successful dinner, just a bit when I was a member of Transportation and Logistic Bureau back in my diploma years. Other than that, no. So, I'm quite nervous to be frank, the moment Mr. President announced my name as a director of the most awaited event of all students.

~ wish i can do something like this ~

Gonna be busy starting this semester holiday. Need to think of what to fill for that night, beside from serve our desire on food of course. Somebody who are expert on this kind of thing, kindly please leave a comment or drop some tips in my comment box. I'm sure no one want their plan to mess up at first time they handle a big event, don't they? I have to make sure everything is well-planned and although it seems too early to talk about this, I think its necessary for a newbie to starts early. Huhu. So, help me out guys! :)

:: Crystal Bowersox Weds ::

Salam to all my readers

The first runner-up of American Idol Season 9 (AI9) finally tied the knot with her long-time friend, Brian Walker, also a musician. The couples had their wonderful and glorious moments at Uncommon Ground, a Chicago restaurant, where they first met while performing at an Open Mic Night. Guest like finalist from AI9, Didi Benami and actor Lance Barber.

Back when she was in AI, she was quoted as saying that her then-boyfriend, Tony Kusian, whom she breaks up with just before the AI finale starts, is not man up yet and he will be soon man up but unfortunately for him, Crystal is not keen on waiting for that time to come. The break up seem didn't affect Crystal's life that much and she is now waiting to record her post-idol album anytime soon.

And to the delight of Lee Dewyze's fans, the AI9 winner will be releasing his debut album, titled Live It Up on November 16 but details and news about the album is already been leaked. Lee's album is expected to be engaging blend of rootsy pop, rock and folk, anchored by DeWyze's soulful, rough-edged voice. The album will be preceded by a single of a same name, which will be premiered on Ryan Seacrest's radio show this coming Wednesday.

“I grew up listening to Simon & Garfunkel, The Mamas & the Papas, Cat Stevens, and Kris Kristofferson. I love hard-edged vocals over pretty melodies — that’s what I’m about. I really admire guys like Dave Matthews and Ray LaMontagne, and to now be on the same record label as them — it just blows my mind.”

:: money money money ::

Salam to all my readers

This week was kinda hectic for me, not only i got tests but also i was a nominee for a position in MELTECH (it's a student association for my course) and it is not an ordinary position. I'm gonna be one of the Supreme Council member! I don't know what to feel at the moment i received the news coz big position come with big responsibility plus I don't really have leader kinda attitude so, gotta earn it i guess.

After few days watching my face printed out on a paper and hanged at every corner of the faculty with other candidates faces, is it time to reveal the mystery. I don't expect for a high position since I don't think people know me, even my senior don't know my full name. They just know my nickname and what people call me with. This situation shows that I'm not really close with my seniors, especially the guys.

Well, yesterday was the Annual Grand Meeting and the moment I've been waiting for. It was quite a heart-pounding moment as I don't know how to react if people see me and go like, ohh, is this the guy for the position, or will he suit the position. You know, that kinda thoughts really annoyed me coz I don't know what people think and that what scares me.

So, behold, the new Supreme Council member and the position is:

ok, you may vomit now. LOL. I got to sharpen up my math after this. Dealing with money is scary you know, especially when it's not ours. Once you miscalculate then everything will be in chaos. Gosh, I hate math as much as I hate bugs!

:: sometimes being selfish is necessary ::

Salam to all my readers

Sometimes, we need a lil bit of selfishness in our life. I'm not saying that being selfish is good but i think we need every now and then. Well, at least i do.

Sometimes, we pray for bad things happen to people we love, or people who we really care for. It's not that we hate them or we hold grudge against them, but there is a time where we need them to stay with us so that we don't feel alone or abandon.

But no, we can't do that, even though out heart says different. We don't have the right to stop them from leaving and pursue their dreams or whatever they wanna do but, that's what i mean, we need a lil bit of selfishness sometimes. If I've given a chance, yes, I would like to keep them. Just for myself.

Life definitely would be different without them. Need to make few adjustments to adapt in the new environment. But for the time being, spend your time with them while you still can. Please don't laugh when you read this coz sooner or later, everyone will experience this.

:: still got the Raya feeling left ::

Salam to all my readers

It seems that people in Puncak Alam still got the Hari Raya feeling. Ohh, don't get me wrong. It is not because they turn the Raya songs on 24/7. Also not because there are open houses everywhere organized by students or their course. All of these got nothing to do with the Raya feeling that people in Puncak Alam is experiencing.

The only reason for this never-ending Raya feeling is the annoying sounds of the firecrackers. I don't know if our Pegawai Penyelia Pelajar's (PPP) house is soundproof but it is situated below my house and i can hear it so damn clearly and PPP seems doesn't care of what is happening. No action have been taken so far. The sound is so loud as if an explosion is happening. Like a bomb explosion. It hurts my ears.

I swear to God if i have heart attack i would be dead by now. Every now and then the sound of the firecrackers echoed. Don't know where they got it. Maybe it was leftover from their Raya stock. Those who done it are unidentified so I assume PPP is so lazy to go and check, or even make an inspection regarding this matter. Until the legal action is taken, I'm gonna need a wool, you know, for cover!

:: X-Factor - Mentors finally revealed ::

Salam to all my readers

I bet you heard me saying that i'm really into reality tv shows and the latest on my list are The Amazing Race Asia (TARA) and The X-Factor UK 2010. since TARA is not available on YouTube so it would be hard for me to keep update with the show and watch it every week but thank god X-Factor does. for those who still got no idea what X-Factor is all about, click here and here.

As usual, 4 judges will each mentor a category which are The Boys, The Girls, The Groups and The Over 28. for this year, every judges seem to be very competitive and as Simon said, The Girls are probably the strongest category. so no wonder the judges are praying for the category. but as the producer has decided, finally the mentors are revealed.

Louis Walsh - Over 28

Simon Cowell - The Groups

Cheryl Cole - The Girls

Dannii Minogue - The Boys

Now we already know whose mentor of each category, i can't wait to know who's gonna make it to top 12. let the judges do their work.
